Melanie Boyd

Melanie has been writing poems for two decades, with publications in Canadian literary journals - including Wascana Review, CV2, Malahat Review, Antigonish Review, and The Fiddlehead. In 2001, Melanie studied with Canadian poet Tim Lilburn at the University of Saskatchewan. For three months in 2002, she was Writer in Residence at the Wallace Stegner House (Eastend, SK). 

 

When she was a literatures librarian at the University of Calgary, Melanie co-founded Poem of the Season - a student writing competition - with writers Tom Wayman and Robert Majzels. 

 

Melanie is owner of Wogibi Press. She lives in a converted Hutterite church on a hayfield west of Saskatoon.
